Catch up with Thomas Zussman and Evie Campbell

Thomas Zussman and Evie Campbell are two rising talents at Quintet (based in the Netherlands and the UK, respectively) who share a common starting point: the Quintet Graduate Programme. This immersive, two-year experience allowed them to explore the diverse world of private banking, gaining hands-on exposure across multiple departments. Today, they stand at the forefront of Young Quintet, a dynamic initiative aimed at empowering the next generation of professionals across the firm. Both are committed to expanding this community, fostering innovation, and building a collaborative culture that reflects the values of Quintet. With their energy and dedication, Thomas and Evie are helping shape a future where young voices are heard, supported, and celebrated.

Young Quintet: When Youth Sets the Pace

It all started in 2019 in the Netherlands, with the launch of Young InsingerGilissen. As the employee base began to shift toward younger generations, leadership saw an opportunity: create a framework to help young professionals thrive. Fast forward to early 2024: an Innovation Day in Amsterdam brought together young talents from InsingerGilissen (the Netherlands), Merck Finck (Germany), and Puilaetco (Belgium). That event sparked something bigger — Young Quintet was born and rolled out across the firm.

From Local Spark to Global Movement

As Thomas puts it: “Young Boards are quite common at Dutch companies. We wanted to take this great concept and make it international—it’s a perfect way to live Quintet’s values.” Evie adds: “During my second rotation in the Group CEO office, we worked with Helena Bonsu, our Group Chief of Staff, to scale the Young community across all Quintet locations. The Innovation Challenge was our springboard.”

Connect. Grow. Make a Difference.

The mission of Young Quintet is simple yet powerful: empower young professionals and set them up for success. This benefits not only individuals but the entire organisation. “We organise events focused on development, culture, and fun” – Thomas. “To connect, grow, and make a difference—individually, collectively, and for the wider business.” – Evie. From padel tournaments to presentation workshops, Young is all about creating enjoyable and interesting experiences.

A Community of Mindsets, Not Just Ages

If you're under 36, you're automatically part of the Young community. But in the UK, it’s more about mindset than age. “We welcome anyone who wants to grow and contribute. It’s about inclusivity and professional evolution.” – Evie. Each country has a Young Board with up to five members.

Ideas That Spark Change

Since its inception, Young Quintet has launched impactful initiatives:

  • The Innovation Challenge, with three projects already being implemented

  • Local events focused on professional development and cultural exchange

  • A memorable Amsterdam gathering with young professionals from across the group

Seeing young people from different Quintet locations share ideas and cruise the canals together, that was special.” – Thomas. “The Innovation Challenge final was a true celebration of creativity and impact.
– Evie

Looking Ahead: The Future Is Bright

Over the next few years, Young Quintet aims to be a key driver of innovation and cultural transformation.

“We want to make Quintet twice as innovative and twice as great a place to work.” – Thomas

“Encouraging the next generation to be bold, creative, and collaborative—that’s the goal.” – Evie

Young Quintet is more than a network—it's a movement. A movement powered by curiosity, collaboration, and the belief that fresh perspectives can drive real change. With passionate leaders like Thomas and Evie, and a growing community of engaged young professionals across the group, the initiative is already shaping the future of Quintet. Because when you give youth the space to lead, innovate, and connect—extraordinary things happen. And at Quintet, the journey is just beginning.

Evie Campbell

My name is Evie Campbell, I am 23 years old, born and raised in and around London. I joined Quintet after graduating from Durham University, where I read Politics. I am currently in my final rotation on the Quintet Graduate Programme, where I have worked in four different departments at the bank, over six-month rotations. From ICS, Sustainability and Corporate Strategy in the Group CEO office, supporting ongoing projects in the COO department, to working in the UK Front Office, I am very grateful for the opportunities over the last two years. I am particularly proud to have worked on the launch of the Innovation Challenge, working with and developing the Young community across the bank.

Thomas Zussman

My name is Thomas Zussman and I am a 25-year-old from London. After attending the University of Bristol, where I read Geography, I joined the Graduate programme at Quintet. For my first year of the two-year scheme I was based in the London office before transferring to Amsterdam to work at InsingerGilissen. Since January 2023 I have been in Sales & Business Management team where I specialise in commercial data. My biggest achievement has been developing along with my colleagues a Front Office KPI Dashboard for the group. Since the start of 2023 I have been a member of Young InsingerGilissen and part of the team that transformed this Dutch initiative into a movement across Quintet.
