Depositary Bank Oversight Senior Officer

Acting as a trusted partner for more than 400 Investment Sub-Funds, Quintet Luxembourg offers a comprehensive range of Depositary Bank services with teams specialized in alternative assets (private equity, private debts, real estates and infrastructure) and traditional assets (i.e. equities, bonds, Funds or derivatives). Part of the Depositary function, the team Depositary Bank Oversight performs the cash flow monitoring and oversight duties (valuation, income distribution, subscription/redemption, compliance with investment restriction and timely settlement), including due diligences, on Fund's stakeholders (i.e. Investment Fund Managers, Fund Administrations, etc.).
Key Accountabilities
- Drive initial and ongoing assessments of the risks associated to the nature, scale and complexity of the fund’s strategy and the organization of the Investment Fund Manager to define how to apply Depositary function appropriately.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory Depositary requirements related to Safekeeping, Recordkeeping, Cash Flow Monitoring and Oversight duties
- Cash Flow Monitoring - Conduct ongoing monitoring of the Fund’s cash flows, including the detection and analysis of significant or unusual cash movements, and perform reconciliations with the Fund’s records to confirm completeness and consistency
- Oversight duties - Perform oversight on the duties under the responsibility of the Funds Manager and its delegates (valuation, income distribution, subscriptions/redemptions, and timely settlement), through ex-post controls, ongoing due-diligence reviews and on-site visits.
- Investment Compliance Monitoring - Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with UCITS, AIFMD, and fund-specific investment rules. Monitor portfolios against regulatory and prospectus guidelines. Report and document potential investment breaches. Lead complex compliance checks across various asset classes, including alternative / illiquid investments / ESG related restrictions.
- Prepare internal and external reporting to provide regular status on the Depositary controls and activities
- Acting as point of contact for all depositary matters and for any issues escalated to Depositary Bank Oversight
- Participate in team development activities and transversal projects impacting the scope of the Depositary Bank
- Provide support and guidance to Depositary Bank Oversight officer in their day to day tasks
Knowledge and Experience
- Further professional Education (Masters / Professional qualification)
- Between 3 and 5 years experience in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg Investment Fund Legislation and depositary duties/responsibilities in particular related to AIFM Directives.
- Strong understanding about alternative investments.
- Previous Depositary Bank Fund Industry experience
- Good communication skills, able to interact confidently with clients
Languages Skills
- Fluent in French and English
