The Security Processing Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing and settlement of financial transactions including securities, precious metals, and cash while maintaining regulatory compliance and minimizing operational risk.
Key Accountabilities
- Participates in all activities related to the processing and settlement of securities operations with third party broker, our Execution desk
- Ensure timely matching and confirmation of trades with counterparties and custodians
- Ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all transactions, monitor trading activity on the various OMS used within the bank (manual interventions, updates, cancellation , follow up of dashboards, validations, reco), the follow-up of the payment subscription, the reimbursements. Monitor foreign exchange operations linked to securities transactions
- Follow up of failed transactions, liaise with custodians, counterparties, to resolve settlement issues and ensure smooth transaction flow and justify all pending trades
- Establish good contacts with other departments that play a role in the securities lifecycle: front and middle offices, corporate actions and income departments, tax department
- Identify and escalate risks or operational issues
- Reconcile positions in case of breaks by identifying discrepancies between internal and external records, investigating root causes, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain data integrity and minimize operational risk.
- Management of the securities database depending on the working entity
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
- Versatility to reinforce teams within the whole Securities Pillar during high activity periods
Knowledge and Experience
- Higher Education (University / Bachelor)
- At least 3 years experiece in a similar role

Technical Skills
- Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, bonds, funds, (reverse) convertibles, derivatives, forwards, ...)
- Knowledge of market rules and local CSDs.
- Familiarity with settlement systems (Clearstream, Allfunds..)
- Knowledge of financial data platforms/providers (Bloomberg, Six-Telekurs,…)
- Knowledge of Swift

- Fluent in English
