The successful candidate will work as part of the Regulatory Finance function in Luxembourg. In Luxembourg, he/she will be part of the team responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounting controls, monitoring financial performance and preparing the regulatory reporting to National Competent Authorities and the headquarter.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Oversee the daily management of all accounting aspects, including general ledger management (fees & interest revenues, amortization, impairment and cost management)
  • Conduct and participate in the closing of monthly and annual financial results
  • Collaborate with local Business Partners and Group FP&A, contribute to management reporting and monitor operating expenses and related provisions
  • Handle various operational accounting tasks on specific topics such as provisions, pension plan, taxes, wages and salaries
  • Prepare and control the regulatory reporting to the German National Competent Authorities (BISTA, AUSTA e.g.) and contribution to the Group (FinRep, CoRep and LiqRep)
  • Serve as a primary contact for all accounting and reporting matters, liaising with senior management, peers, and other finance and risk stakeholders across Quintet Group
  • Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory and internal business requirements, and guarantee that accounting and reporting adhere to IFRS and Group valuation rules
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Over 3 years of higher education in accounting, finance, business administration or an equivalent qualification
  • Good knowledge of banking regulation
  • Over 1 year of experience in accounting/finance in banks

Technical Skills

 

  • Good knowledge of IFRS and German-GAAP.
  • Good knowledge of banking regulation and experience with regulatory reporting
  • Good understanding of the accounting tools, IT platform (OBS) and Office Suite
     

Languages Skills

 

  • Fluent in German and English with proficiency in French being a valuable asset
